Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana
October 27, 2009LG Prada, Samsung Armani, Sony Ericsson Jalou… I still can’t understand why companies and designers are trying so hard to design a perfect cellphone for a fashionista. As for me, I’d take care forever and ever of an iPhone with Karl Lagerfeld’s engraved signature.
Shitty phone, lovely commericial.
PUMA Index
September 18, 2009The PUMA Index is a global stock ticker with a twist. When the market goes down, our models’ clothes come off – right down to their PUMA Bodywear. So if you lose your shirt, at least they do, too.
Choose a male or female model to be your guide to the DOW index. Shake to switch between genders. The market numbers will be updated throughout the day and when it gets bad enough, or good enough, the models will be called into action.
Read News Faster With Google Fast Flip
September 16, 2009Have you found yourself searching for bits an pieces, news and images to go along with you research or presentations? Look no further. Google Labs have been working on some really neat stuff in the backstage. One of these spectacular things is Google Fast Flip. What’s that?
Basically Google Flip, compiles a series of top articles from news publications and magazines across the web to deliver the most complete news experience to date. I really believe that you should give it a go, over a cup of coffee, next time the newspaper dude falls from his bike and your newspaper lands in the bushes and it’s quickly eaten by a dog who hates to see political figures on the front page.

Artist Feature – Candas Sisman
July 31, 2009Turkish based artist Candas Sisman is someone who definitely has something to say when it comes to visuals and music. A graduate of Eskisehir Anadolu University – animation department ( 2003 – 2009 ), Noordelijke hogeschool multimedia design – Leeuwarden,Netherlands(2006 – 2007) & Izmir fine art high school ( 1999 – 2003 ) Candid does a different kind of art.
His main focus in the abstract nature of the world around us. Rapid development, psychedelic sounds and scenes filmed at more than 80 frames per second. This is one artist you need to plug your headphones and dim the lights. The video production is mind-blowing, and what we can say is that it features a rather dark and pointy structure. What you think you’re going to see next is not even near to what happens, which tells you really that the thought invested in the film is substantial.
Interesting enough, the main feeling you undergo when starting at a screen flashing repeated colors is surprise, confusion and a pinch of fear. Such a cocktail sure needs your experimentation. On the sound side of things, Candas Sisman has a very distinct sounds. What comes to our mind is a somewhat big similarity with Amon Tobin’s work. All recycled bits and pieces massaged by a sampler and edited to match the stuff that fills the pixels on your screen. As Tobin’s Music makes your mind imagine it. Candas Sisman, delivers his idea of the sound.
Trully amazing. Here’s a sample of what we’re talking about

Bonobo – The keeper (video)
July 31, 2009After a long series of live concerts and dj sets, Bonobo a.k.a Simon Green took some time and started working at his new album. At the moment all it is know it’s that it will be released this summer. So August seems to be the best time to do it.
Announcing on his website Simon said : “Over the past year, mostly on Wednesday afternoons around 1pm. Myself and Andreya Triana have been working on a record. It’s her debut album, written by her, produced by me. It’s now all done and ready for release on a label that we’re not at liberty to discuss yet, but it’s close. Summer we think. And it sounds real nice. “
The new track sounds a bit different although it carries the Bonobo signature sound we were all used with. Now it is a more mature sound and the voice of Andreya Triana does a bang up job. Massaging a mix of trip-hop and downtempo with a warm rain like xylophone this track is sure to capture your attention.
Andreya Triana is the newes addition to the Ninja Tune family and you can check her on Myspace. Until the new release we let you enjoy Bonobo’s first song of the album.
P.s: We are thrilled about it!
