Turkish based artist Candas Sisman is someone who definitely has something to say when it comes to visuals and music. A graduate of Eskisehir Anadolu University – animation department ( 2003 – 2009 ), Noordelijke hogeschool multimedia design – Leeuwarden,Netherlands(2006 – 2007) & Izmir fine art high school ( 1999 – 2003 ) Candid does a different kind of art.
His main focus in the abstract nature of the world around us. Rapid development, psychedelic sounds and scenes filmed at more than 80 frames per second. This is one artist you need to plug your headphones and dim the lights. The video production is mind-blowing, and what we can say is that it features a rather dark and pointy structure. What you think you’re going to see next is not even near to what happens, which tells you really that the thought invested in the film is substantial.
Interesting enough, the main feeling you undergo when starting at a screen flashing repeated colors is surprise, confusion and a pinch of fear. Such a cocktail sure needs your experimentation. On the sound side of things, Candas Sisman has a very distinct sounds. What comes to our mind is a somewhat big similarity with Amon Tobin’s work. All recycled bits and pieces massaged by a sampler and edited to match the stuff that fills the pixels on your screen. As Tobin’s Music makes your mind imagine it. Candas Sisman, delivers his idea of the sound.
Trully amazing. Here’s a sample of what we’re talking about
