How do I fall asleep.
I don’t usually sleep or better said, don’t want to go to bed, as there is always something left to do or to think of. And of course, when I decide myself to have a short nap (no longer than 3 hours, day/night, doesn’t matter), I can’t fall asleep.
What to do, what to do…
Counting sheep is useless. They are all white and you can count them all using the formula n(n+1)/2, don’t need to bother counting 1, 2, 3, 4,… 99, 100.
So… Sometimes when I can’t sleep, I imagine myself climbing on the top of a tall building, able to see all the cars involved in a traffic jam. So I start counting the cars, sorting them by colour, brand or/and driver’s gender. And it’ quite funny.
15 black cars – 11 men, 4 women – 3 Mercedes, 2 Ford, 4 Porsche, 3 Smart, 3 Opel
23 red cars – 17 women, 6 men – …
7 blue – all men – …
19 silver – …
etc.
